Vetericyn Inc. Launches Feline Wound and Infection Treatment

Vetericyn Feline Formula

Rialto, Calif. (PRWEB) February 15, 2010

Vetericyn, Inc ., a California-based animal healthcare company, announced that its innovative Vetericyn® wound and infection treatment product is now available for felines.

Vetericyn® is effective in treating a variety of ailments in cats, including a condition veterinarians commonly refer to as “hot spots,” “summer sores” or “moist eczema,” in which a raw, irritated lesion results from a cat constantly scratching, chewing or licking an itchy area of its skin. Other indications include insect bites, skin rashes, ulcers, burns, cuts and scratches, eye infections, outer ear infections and post-surgical sites. Vetericyn is formulated so that it is gentle enough for the specific sensitivities of cats and kittens and it does not sting when applied.

Even small and seemingly shallow wounds are breeding grounds for bacteria and viruses and they can be dangerous or even fatal in cats if left untreated. The one-step Vetericyn® product works within seconds to clean, treat and jump-start the healing process.

Vetericyn® can be sprayed directly on the wound or sprayed onto dressings before applying to the wound. It is compatible with most gauzes and acrylics and can used prior to the application of other treatments. It is pH neutral and non-toxic, leaving no film or residue that would require rinsing. It is as safe as water and poses no risk to cats who instinctively will try to lick and clean their wounds. It can be used safely in the eyes, mouth and nose without stinging or irritation.

Vetericyn® and Vetericyn® HydroGel are available over-the-counter in an eight-ounce pump spray for an MSRP of $ 28. A four-ounce spray is coming soon.

Wounds treated with Vetericyn® have demonstrated a reduction in healing time of up to 60 percent. In vitro results show that Vetericyn® can safely kill 99.9999 percent of most single-cell pathogens within 30 seconds. Treatment with Vetericyn® more than doubles the oxygen supply at the wound site within 30 seconds and maintains that level for up to 36 hours. The increase in oxygen and the eradication of infectious pathogens are responsible for the accelerated healing time.

Vetericyn® offers a treatment option that works in tandem with an animal’s immune system to fight infection and speed healing time. It is the first non-toxic broad-spectrum topical antimicrobial on the market. The landscape-altering wound and infection control technology kills bacteria (including staph and drug-resistant MRSA), viruses, fungi and spores without harming healthy tissue. Vetericyn® replicates the immune system’s natural response to invading pathogens with an oxidative burst of neutrophils, the most common white blood cells in the body. The body recognizes this as a friendly infection-treating ally. Within seconds of applying Vetericyn®, blood flow increases and wound-healing nutrients are delivered to the site. Harmful pathogens are eradicated and accelerated healing begins.

The Global Strained Silicon Market to Reach $ 3.5 Billion by 2015, According to New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc.

San Jose, California (PRWEB) February 9, 2010

The ever-expanding technological horizon and emergence of newer technologies at rapid pace has drastically reduced the payback period of invested capital for the device manufacturers worldwide. The product life of a semiconductor based device too has gone down drastically to the range of 18-24 months. Additionally, the investment required for establishing a state-of-the art manufacturing facility too has gone up rapidly, resulting in shortening of the gap between the payback period and active productive life of the acquired assets. Thus, it becomes imperative for the manufacturers to look for options to be able to utilize their assets for a longer period, yet remain competitive in the market in the technological font. Thus, strained silicon technology perfectly fits the bill by enabling manufacturers to stretch the life of their facility, while keeping pace with technology.

The global market for strained silicon is expected to cross $ 3.5 billion by 2015, as stated by the new market research report on strained silicon. Strained silicon provides the manufacturers a potent option to increase the performance of their device without adopting newer technology, by means of increasing the number of transistors on the chip. Thus, the usage of strained silicon is set to grow many folds in near future, as more and more device manufacturers across various domains, are showing interest towards strained silicon related material technologies.

Key players dominating the Global Strained Silicon Market include Soitec S.A., Silicon Genesis Corporation, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited, Applied Materials, Inc., ASM International NV, AmberWave Systems Corporation, Atmel Corporation, CEVA, Inc., AMD, Intel, IBM, Isonics Corporation, International Rectifier Corp., Micron Technology Inc., Mitsubishi Materials Corporation., Renesas Technology Corporation, Shanghai Simgui Technology Co., Ltd , Siltronic Ag, and United Microelectronic Corporation, among others.

Hollywood, FL (PRWEB) July 26, 2010

Custom pen company Vendo Direct, Inc., reports that it’s new ergonomic 3 Color Pen has quickly become a best selling item, rapidly out pacing the sales of more traditional pens. The 3 Color Pen is unique, as it contains three different colored ink cartridges.

“Our 3 Color Pen has become one of the most popular promotional items this year,” stated company spokes person Michael Klein, “the simplistic ergonomic design of this pen is hidden within it’s slightly wider barrel and soft comfort gripper. The perfectly balanced combination of function and form really makes this pen stand out amongst its peers. Because the pen features a red, blue and black ink cartridge, the end user is also getting the value of three pens in one.” Klein proudly mentioned, “Our 3 Color Pen is at least 50% cheaper than similar name brand versions of the pen.”

“We recommend this pen for anyone who has larger hands, aged hands, arthritis, or for anyone who does a lot of writing. It’s really easy to switch from one color ink to the next, all you have to do is push down on the clicker and it instantly changes color. Many of the cheap knock off versions of this pen, have a tendency to stick while changing ink cartridges, but not ours, it functions 100% of the time. It’s a very comfortable pen to hold and it’s easy to use.”

“We found that almost 70% of the people who purchased this pen had reordered them within a year. We’ve had a phenomenal response from the professional fields and various government agencies. The 3 Color Pen is a perfect value added item for almost any working environment.”

Klein reluctantly admitted, “Its fun to write with and I find myself clicking away at the different colors all day long, it almost makes me feel like a kid again.”

The 3 Color Pen features a white barrel accented with a; red, blue, green, or black rubber gripper and matching color clip. viaPeople, Inc. Announces The Launch of A New Outsourcing Service To Process Paper Performance Evaluations

PRINCETON, NJ –June 8, 2004 – viaPeople, Inc., a leading human asset management software and consulting services company, announced today their latest service offering that enables customers to eliminate the processing of paper performance evaluations without fully committing to an online system. Customers simply send completed performance evaluation forms to viaPeople for scanning and data entry, and they will receive files with an electronic image of every completed form, along with a database of the information entered on the form.

“Many companies today continue to use paper forms in their annual performance evaluation process” says Jim Perry President and CEO of viaPeople. “Our paper outsourcing service gives customers the ability to eliminate paper storage and, most important, capture the PE data for each individual”. “The viaPeople solution has allowed us to alleviate the administrative burden of handling, scanning and filing thousands of forms thereby redirecting our efforts to more strategic activities” says Susan Herbert, HRIS Manager at Meridian Health.

“The benefits are tangible, the ROI is immediate, and the reporting and analysis that becomes available to the company is invaluable,” adds Perry. In most cases, viaPeople can complete the entire outsourcing process in as little as three weeks, from receipt of the paper to returning the electronic files.

The unfortunate reality of transitioning to an online PE solution is that many companies have large groups of employees that do not have computer access, as in manufacturing and similar industries. This causes the problem of handling two disparate PE processes – one online and one on paper – so as a result many companies stay with a paper process.

viaPeople solves this problem by offering a hybrid solution that combines both online and paper processing. The viaPeople PE software product can be used globally and those business units that continue using paper can forward the paper PE forms directly to viaPeople and the information is captured in the same database.

In the end, viaPeople is offering the best of both worlds to its customers. Through paper outsourcing, customers achieve the same results as using an online PE system and paper outsourcing is usually the first step towards transitioning from a paper based process. Through continuing to process paper evaluations, viaPeople enables their customers to transition to an online solution at their pace, while managing the change in process to suit their needs.

About viaPeople:

viaPeople is a human asset management software and consulting services company. They enable companies to identify top performing employees, profile the behaviors that make those people successful and then reshape their existing workforce to significantly improve overall performance. Global Acetic Acid Market to Reach 11.3 Million Tons by 2015, According to a New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc.

Global Acetic Acid Market to Reach 11.3 Million Tons by 2015, According to a New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc.

San Jose, California (Vocus/PRWEB) January 07, 2011

Growth in demand for acetic acid is in line with growth in GDP for most developed economies, as they are the harbingers of fiscal/monetary/economic policies and consumer confidence. The global demand for acetic acid declined slightly during recent times mainly due to the slump in the macro economy. The market, however, is expected to grow robustly in the near future, leveraging on strong growth emanating from Asia-Pacific, particularly from China. Rapid growth of acetic acid market in China has encouraged investors to pour million of dollars in establishing acetic acid units. Influx of advanced technology and investments from multinational companies are expected to provide the required impetus for fast paced growth.

Taking cue from the burgeoning demand from the developing countries, acetic acid manufacturers worldwide are investing in capacity expansions and new plant installations. Previously, backward integration reigned in the industry, with companies increasingly making investments through acquisitions and strategic sourcing deals to keep the tabs on the soaring raw material prices and slow demand. This had largely limited capacity expansions in the recent years. But now, with a robust recovery upstaged in the down stream and upstream markets, acetic acid is set to grow steadily. Keeping in view the brightening prospects, acetic acid manufacturers are reviving investments in capacity expansions and facility revamps. However, much of the new cap is charted for the burgeoning economies of Asia, especially China, where the growing demand justifies the capacity investments.

Asia-Pacific dominates the global acetic acid market in terms of market size and growth, as stated by the new market research report on Acetic Acid. Presently, a large percentage of the demand for acetic acid in the region is met by imports. However, on-going massive capacity expansions and establishment of newer factories in China is expected to boost production in the region and reduce its dependence on imports. India also constitutes a lucrative market for manufacturers of acetic acid. The region is expected to pose strong demand for VAM in the near future. The United States trails Asia-Pacific in terms of acetic acid consumption. Affected by the recent turmoil in the global economy, the US market for acetic acid recorded a slight decrease in the demand in 2009. The market in recent times was characterized by supply crunch and soaring prices of raw materials such as methanol and natural gas among others. Exports also declined drastically from the last quarter of 2008, due to the weak business scenario in Europe and Latin America. The on-going capacity expansions and establishment of newer facilities in China are likely to further negatively impact the region’s acetic acid exports in the near future.

In terms of end-use segments, Vinyl Acetate Monomer (VAM) represents the largest end-use market for acetic acid. On the other hand, Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) is the fastest growing end-use application, registering a CAGR of more than 4.0% over the analysis period. Other leading end-use segments include Acetic Anhydride and Ethyl Acetate.

On the technological front, emerging technologies for producing chemicals and derivatives are painting greener avenues for growth within the industry. Adoption of innovative and path breaking technologies are providing competitive edge to the companies to enhance their profit margins vis- à-vis competitors. Accordingly, manufacturers of acetic acid are increasingly adopting these technologies over age-old technologies such as low-water technology.

Saturation in western economies and mushrooming growth in Eastern economies have spurred globalization of industries. Together with the opportunities to expand presence, globalization brought with it a host of problems that are region-specific and hence, the regional governments’ foreign trade and investment policies and formation of free trade areas are of critical importance. Environmental concerns represent one of the major factors influencing the market for acetic acid. Demand is expected to rise as the chemical replaces solvents in printing inks, coatings and adhesives.

Major players in the industry are striving to grow in the highly competitive environment by investing in international markets, and thus going global. Key players profiled in the report include British Petroleum PLC, BP PETRONAS Acetyls Sdn Bhd, China Petrochemical Development Corporation, Celanese Corporation, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, Daicel Chemical Industries Limited, Kyodo Sakusan Co. Ltd., DuPont, Eastman Chemicals Company, Kuraray Co. Ltd., LyondellBasell Industries, Millennium Chemicals Inc., Showa Denko K.K., Sterling Chemicals Inc., Wacker Chemie AG, among others.
